Ribbed V Belt (PK Belt): The Modern Workhorse
Our Ribbed V Belt / PK Belt is the workinghorse of today's serpentine drive systems. Unlike a standard V--belt, the ribbed belt has numerous longitudinal ribs on the inner periphery which run with their corresponding pulley surfaces creating a larger contact surface. This makes it deliver power more smoothly with increased transmission efficiency and without slipping under high loads.
With their noise reduction, improved flexibility, and exceptional heat dissipation, Guanpin PK belts are typically employed to simultaneously drive devices such as alternators, A/C compressors, power steering pumps, and water pumps in tight engine compartments. Featuring prolonged span and reliable tensions retention, our Ribbed belt combines state of the art compounding rubber and cords (customizable per clients requirements). As a highly flexible production line, we can accommodate both the standardized sizing and tailor-made colors and branding to fit customer requirement.
V Belt: The Timeless Classic in Power Transmission
In some modern and older car applications, V Belts have many different uses, more particularly where simple, low-cost means of auxiliary drives are requested. Having a trapezoidal section creates a wedging action in the pulley groove and allows the generation of significant driving friction even when not highly tensioned. In many situations, this makes the V-belt the optimal option particularly for space and heavy shock load applications.
Our V belts are produced from high-strength polyester cords and wear resistant compounds which ensure extremely tight belts with superior clamping forces. With over 26 years of experience in V-belt production, we have perfected the curing and cutting processes to ensure our belts resist cracking, glazing, and oil degradation. As well as all this we can produce our own branding on the belts, and include additional colours so that our belts will sport your company’s logo but will still provide excellent dimensions and balance for your smooth-running engine.
Timing Belt (Toothed Belt): Precision Where It Counts
The Timing Belt, also called the Toothed Belt, or camshaft drive belt is the most important belt for synchronizing the engine. The timing belt is not friction driven and instead has teeth that click into place with the sprocket teeth, which in turn allows the crankshaft and camshaft to move in harmony. If anything goes wrong here, you could end up with valve-piston interference, a fatal engine disaster.
That is why Guanpin places the highest standards in the production of timing belts. Highly engineered HNBR or CR rubber compounds ensure outstanding oil, heat and ozone resistance, while our high-modulus glass fiber or aramid cord reinforcements reduce elongation. Each timing belt is tested for pitch accuracy and strength. In addition, the profiles of the teeth, hardness of the rubber and even the color of the belt's backing can be tailored to the specific engine design.
