Logo Authorization and Digital Pre-Production Engineering
Our process starts with your brand. Submit the authorized logo file to us (vector formats such as AI or CDR are preferred) and indicate placement preferences (belt back, side, or top). Next, our engineers use CAD software to integrate logo geometry with the belt’s shape and ridging. We ensure tooth-free areas on timing belts to avoid stress concentration and place marks on the lowest flex areas of PK and V belts for clarity. Once we complete the CAD work, we will use 3D printing technology to produce prototype embossing die or laser etching die. We will send your high-resolution images of the prototype and, upon request, physically prototype. This allows you to confirm spacing and fonts are to your liking. We make sure your logo doesn’t interfere with belt tensions or any interaction with pulleys. This is the most significant reason customer should choose one manufacturer over another.
Rubber Material Customization – Color Matching and Compound Formulation
It’s more than beauty! Colors choices can also reflect specific application requirements and operating temperature ranges. If you choose to request custom colors like blue, red or green, even specific pantone color, our chemists carefully adjust the formula of the standard Guanpin EPDM or CR compound. They replace our standard pigments with oil-resistant, fade-resistant, non-migratory alternatives while fine-tuning the formulation. We create masterbatch samples, cure plaques and determine accuracy under D65 standard lighting with spectrophotometer. Color adjustment requires altering pigment load, which affects other properties as well. Guanpin meticulously adjusts levels to ensure that tensile strength, elongation, and abrasion resistance remain consistent with our original formulation, because pretty belt that quickly is worthless. Your color chip panel and short belt sample will then follow, before approval for bulk production, process that typically takes 5–7 days.
Cord Material and Rope Customization – Strength Tailored to Duty
Aside from appearances though, the thing at which Guanpin has no equal is in the customization of the cord's performance. We can source polyester reinforcement cord for ordinary passenger vehicle applications, aramid for high torque diesel engines, and glass fiber cord where any movement from timing belts can be critically disruptive. We can supply any available cord structure type including different twist amounts, dip applications, and adhesive promotions designed for various pulley sizes and temperature ranges. We also offer custom-spun cords on managed tension reels direct from our own rope-making facility. Every length of cord is measured before it leaves the manufacturing line and the same batch is then subjected to both modulus tests and heat shrinkage evaluations. If the cord requires high-strength, high-flex capability or is for difficult-to-grip application, Guanpin can use composite cord material as well as apply secondary adhesive coating. We will record each of the component material types used, the dipping treatment batch numbers and even the tensions used, and attach this information to each order in "Custom Build Sheet" which forms part of our quality dossier.
Molding, Printing, and Final Quality Lockdown
Once all the elements, the logo, the color and the cord have been finalized, our manufacturing process begins. For embossed logos, precision-ground steel molds are fitted onto our compression or injection molding presses that mold the logo perfectly, creating sharp edges and uniform depths in each cavity. Printed markings, that often signify part numbers and date codes, are done via pad-printing utilizing inks formulated to withstand heat and curing oven where they are infused into the rubber substrate. During the production cycle, single belt is taken from the line every half hour. It is inspected to verify that the logo, color uniformity and the critical dimensions are correct. A final visual inspection is performed on each belt after vulcanization, under both natural and artificial light. This ensures that no smears, printing misalignment, color streaks, or other blemishes go undetected. A simple solvent-soaked cloth wipe test is used to make sure that nothing wipes off and your brand stays put. Once cleared, the belts are wrapped, boxed, labeled, and palletized. Each box also includes picture of the accepted sample, confirming that the job was run correctly.
